A new day begins. The sun bursts forth and rises again as on cue. The Lord sends it out like pulling back the curtain on a new day. What will be the unfolding drama of today?
I’ve just taken these photos of the rising sun and the place in my home where its rays land.
We don’t awaken to a new day wondering if the sun will shine. It’s dependable, reliable, given by its Creator who orchestrates the universe and holds it all together.
And with it comes His steadfast love, His never-ending mercies, His faithfulness anew.
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
Lamentations 3:22-23 (ESV)
his mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
The sunrise also points us to the true Light!
Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
John 8:12 (ESV)
What a promise! Walking in the light as He is the light for those who follow Him! Light and life.
May the Lord bless you in this new day, revealing Himself in your present circumstances, shining His light and leading your path, making your steps smooth, and increasing your faith as you trust in and look to Him.
